Arista Announces New ARP-2115 a
Lightweight, Dusttie, Fanless
15 Inch LCD Industrial Panel Computer For Rugged Applications
The ARP-2115 is designed to
seamlessly integrate into any environment and its intuitive touch screen
interface makes it ideal for applications such as factory automation.
FREMONT,
CA – September 29, 2004 –
Arista Corporation, a leading industrial computer
solutions provider and system integrator has recognized
the increased market demand for rugged, dusttie industrial computers and introduces
the new ARP-2115, a fanless 15 inch Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) Industrial
Panel Computer. The lightweight unit has resistive touch-screen or strengthened
glass that protects the LCD panel from scratching and its aluminum panel with
its heavy-duty steel chassis makes it ideal for rough environmental
conditions. The ARP-2115 is unique in
that it has no moving parts such as fans or disk drives. Without these moving parts the unit provides
higher reliability and far less system failures when compared to
traditional computers.
The
ARP-2115 industrial LCD computer is equipped with VIA low power Eden 667MHz CPU
that is expandable to 512MB of system memory.
The unit has a 15 inch resistive touch screen LCD with 1024 x 768
resolution and uses a Compact Flash Card as a storage device replacing the
traditional Hard Disk Drive (HDD). The ARP-2115 LCD
computer has a wide range of integrated interfaces for the connection of
external devices. The unit has two USB
1.1 ports, one RS-232/422/485 port, two RS-232 ports and one 10/100 Ethernet
port.
